MESSAGE FROM THE PASTOR

Update on contributions as of July 22, 2024:

Many thanks for your generous support of this Appeal. To date 213 contributors have donated $83,800 which is 666% of our goal.

Given your historic generosity, you know well the importance of this annual appeal. Your generosity last year contributed to Saint Joseph exceeding our goal for the third year in a row. This year our goal is $127,300.

​As you know, upon collecting our regular goal amount, our parish will receive 10% of the amount to assist us with our own local needs. If we exceed our goal, the parish will receive substantial additional funds to support our many local charities.

​By supporting the South Jersey Ministries Appeal, you are making a difference to those who are in most need of the programs and ministries provided by the Diocese.

As pastor, I ask you to prayerfully consider making a donation during our in-pew solicitation which will be held on Memorial Day weekend.

2024 APPEAL: “Through Him and For Him”

By supporting the Catholic Ministries Appeal, you are supporting those who comprise the programs and ministries of the Diocese of Camden. These ministries serve the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the hungry and challenged. When we support the Catholic Ministries Appeal, we can bring the light of hope to those in the Catholic community of South Jersey.

In every way, the work of our ministries emanates from the Eucharist. As Saint John Paul II said, “The Eucharist is the heart of the Church. Where Eucharistic life flourishes, there the life of the church will blossom.” The Eucharist is the true presence of Jesus Christ, it is the spiritual food that gives us strength to carry out His work each day and everything we do as Catholics emanates from that.

This year’s theme: “Through Him and For Him” continues our focus on the nation-wide Eucharist Revival and reminds us that “in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself.”
